Please read before you rent:

Q: Where do I pick up the motorcycle?
A: You will pick up the motorcycle at the local BMW motorcycle dealership in Anchorage, just a few minutes from the Anchorage International Airport.

Q: How do I know if the bike I want is available for the dates I want?
A: Call or email us for current availability. We will "hold" a motorcycle for a few days while you finalize your travel plans.

Q: Can I ride anywhere?
A: Not quite! You may travel as far North as the Arctic Circle on the dual sport (GS) models. Travel beyond the Arctic Circle is restricted. If you want to travel beyond the Circle, there is a $500.00 USD surcharge. See Remote Destinations page for details. Additionally, the Roadsters (R1150R) must stay on paved routes at all times.

Q: Do the bikes have saddle bags, windshields?
A: Yes. All bikes are equipped for touring with hard sided cases and windshields. They also have the OEM tool kits. Most have heated grips and hand guards.

Q: Are the bikes in good condition?
A: Yes. They are dealer maintained.

Q: Does my rental include unlimited mileage?
A: No. The daily rental rate includes 300 miles. Mileage over 300 miles per day is 20 cents
per mile. (Examples: 5 day rental includes 1500 miles; 10 day rental includes 3000 miles)

Q: Do you rent helmets?
A: We have a few helmets that we rent for $5.00 per day that are available on a first come basis. Your own helmet probably fits better. Full coverage helmets are recommended. Helmet use is mandatory.

Q: Is a rental day 24 hours?
A: A rental day typically begins in the AM and ends in the PM. We are open 7 days a week.

Q: Is it safe to ride alone in Alaska?
A: Yes. The paved roads are well maintained, well marked, and Alaskans are very friendly. However, we recommend traveling the unpaved roads with another motorcycle.

Q: What if the bike breaks down?
A: We provide roadside assistance within Alaska below the Arctic Circle. If we cannot repair your bike in a timely fashion, we will provide a replacement bike if one is available. If you wreck the bike we are not obligated to provide you a replacement.

Q: Can we take the bikes out of Alaska? Canada?
A: You can travel into Canada if you let us know in advance. We will provide the proof of insurance cards necessary to cross the border. We do not offer roadside assistance in Canada.

Q: What about insurance?
A: Comprehensive insurance is included in the rental price. However you are responsible for ALL damage to the motorcycle up to $2500.00 USD. This includes traffic accidents, dropping the bike, rock damage and engine damage (like putting Diesel fuel in tank). Rock damage is NOT considered a normal wear item. Most insurance policies do not cover rented motorcycles, but a few do. You are encouraged to check with your personal insurance provider.

Q: Does your insurance cover all circumstances, situations and conditions?
A: NO! If you have an accident and are cited for DUI (driving under influence of alcohol or drugs) or cited for wreckless driving and endangering others - our insurance company maintains the right to recover
up to the full value of the motorcycle. Additionally, if the motorcycle is damaged while riding on a
non-DOT maintained road, trail riding, back country riding or off road riding - you may be responsible for more than just the deductible. Stay on the road and drive responsibly!
